Tracking repair jobs to delivery

A busy workshop loses time hunting for jobs and answering "is it ready?" calls. A status on every job fixes both.

Five statuses

1. Received: booked in, not started.
2. In progress: on the bench.
3. Waiting for parts: ordered, tell the customer the new date.
4. Ready for delivery: tested, bill ready.
5. Delivered: handed over and billed.

Change the status on the job and save. Setting Delivered switches the record to a service bill.

Open jobs board

Open jobs lists every job not yet delivered, sorted by promised date, with late jobs highlighted. Open any job from the list. Check it every morning and again before closing.

Customer messages

WhatsApp the customer opens WhatsApp with a ready message: "received" with the estimate and date, or "ready for pickup" with the bill amount and balance, depending on the status. Read it, change anything, and send.

Search

Saved job cards can be searched by job number, customer name or phone, make, model, serial number or IMEI, so a returning customer’s history is a few letters away.
